NEW - Wiggling Out

  1. On another website a couple of years ago, I posted that I had been doing some research on Victorian melodrama and that it could be used to analyze TG stories/caps. (At least some of them.)

Victorian melodrama has stock characters: the hero, the villain, the heroine, an aged parent, a sidekick and a servant to the aged parent. I believe “Wiggling Out” covers most of them (directly or indirectly).

Villain: The protagonist. He is definitely the villain. The only reason his female side was created was due to his own actions. He had at least three potential victims if he had succeeded in escaping chastity. The first is his female side’s mother. (Notice that I didn’t say “protagonist’s mother.”) The second is his female side. The third is the female side’s potential future soulmate. And like a good Victorian melodrama villain he is sentenced to a very deserving “death” with the future refitting of the cage and the use of a stronger medication.

Heroine: The protagonist’s female side. She’s a good girl who listens to and obeys her mother. She tells on the protagonist as soon as she’s back in control of the body….and tells her mother just how to do “kill off” the protagonist.

Hero: We don’t really have one. But we do have suitors that the protagonist’s female side has entertained.

Aged Parent: The protagonist’s female side’s mother.

Sidekick (to the Hero): None. But the mother’s friends might tangentially qualify.

Servant to the Aged Parent: Ahlberg Academy and the mother’s friends.
