Totally agree! And I bet that the buddy fixed the original voting to make sure the protagonist was going to be dressed as Harley. He wanted to be Puddin’ to the protagonist’s Harl. After that, he didn’t need to ANY rigging. The protagonist as Harley was proof enough to any real voters that the protagonist ALWAYS needed to be dressed as a woman.
And the protagonist does say that he had to start “tarting it up and flirting back” and that his feminine mannerisms leaked into his everyday life. Which is what the buddy wanted. Hey! Maybe some of those “perverted comments” were the buddy wanting this type of reaction!
