This is a much shorter version of the story I wanted to tell with this GIF, but it was not a GIF that wanted to cooperate. Maybe I could expand upon it by just posting the GIF and writing the story underneath it? Would anyone be opposed? Would anyone read this dumb ol' thing I wrote if it was longer?

I think the caption is fine as it is, but I know what you mean it is nice to put in more every time. And yes of course we well want to read it.
